Non-profit testimonials that make people want to help
Donors and volunteers want to know their time and money matter. The people who’ve already given can tell them — and Wallsy records their permission before anything is shared.
- Consent recorded every time
- Free plan for small teams
- One page to share in appeals
The message to send
Thank you for giving your Saturday 💛 Would you share a few words about the day? Your story helps us find the next volunteer. It takes a minute: wallsy.live/f/your-name
Ask after they’ve seen the impact
After a volunteer day, a campaign milestone or an impact report, send the link to the people involved. They’ve just seen what their help did, and they want to say so.
Be careful with stories from the people you serve: only collect them with clear, informed consent, and never pressure anyone. Wallsy requires the permission box on every submission.
Three questions that get a useful answer
Put these on your collection page. Short, specific questions get short, specific answers — the kind people actually read.
- Why did you decide to get involved?Gives others a reason that might be theirs too.
- What did you see or experience that stayed with you?Moments move people more than statistics.
- What would you say to someone thinking about helping?Peer encouragement beats appeals.

Questions people ask
How is consent handled?
Every person ticks a permission box before submitting, and the time they agreed is stored with their testimonial. Nothing is published until you approve it.
Is there a non-profit discount?
There’s no special discount today, but the Free plan covers 4 published testimonials, a collection page and Walls of Love.
Can supporters add a photo?
Yes, if you switch on the photo field.
Can a staff member submit a story on someone’s behalf?
It’s better for the person to submit it themselves, so their own consent is recorded with their words.
How do we remove a story later?
Unpublish or delete it in the Inbox and it disappears from your walls and widgets straight away.
