The whole setup in 1:38: collect, approve, and paste the widget once. The businesses and reviews in the video are sample data. Prefer reading? The steps are below.
Step 1: Create your widget
In Wallsy, open Widgets → New widget, choose a layout (Grid on the Free plan; Carousel, Single quote and Marquee on Pro) and match the font and colours to your site. Every testimonial you publish shows up automatically. Save it and copy the embed code. It looks like this:
<script async src="https://wallsy.live/widgets/loader.js" data-widget-id="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></script>The widget appears exactly where you paste the code.
Step 2: Paste it into your site
Every site builder has a way to add custom HTML. The names below are the common ones; builders rename things from time to time, and some only allow custom code on certain paid plans — if you can’t find the option, search your builder’s help centre for “embed HTML” or “custom code”.
WordPress
In the block editor, add a Custom HTML block where you want the testimonials and paste the code. On WordPress.com, custom code may require a plan that allows it.
Webflow
Drag a Code Embed element onto the page, paste the code, save and publish.
Shopify
In Online Store → Themes → Customize, add a Custom Liquid section (or block) to the page and paste the code.
Squarespace
Edit the page, add a Code block, paste the code and save. Code blocks are only available on some Squarespace plans.
Wix
Add Embed Code → Embed HTML, choose “Code”, and paste the snippet. Wix shows custom code inside a frame, so drag the box large enough for your testimonials.
Framer
Insert an Embed component, choose HTML, and paste the code.
Ghost
In the editor, add an HTML card and paste the code.
Any other HTML page
Paste the script tag into your HTML where the testimonials should appear.
Step 3: Publish and forget
When you publish a new testimonial in Wallsy, it appears in the widget automatically; when you remove one, it disappears. You never need to update the code. The widget’s styles are isolated from your site’s CSS, and you can put several widgets on one page.
No access to your site’s code?
Link to a Wall of Love page instead — it has its own URL, so you can add it to your menu, emails and social profiles without any code.
